In this new "Modo for Noobs" series I will be covering the basics of Modo from modeling to textures to rendering and more. All focused on and around the complete beginner to Modo. This first part focuses on simple polygon modeling and the use of primitives to box out your initial shape. Videos are done in Modo 401 but any version of Modo will allow you to follow along just fine. I will post this series in conjunction with my project based tutorials such as the star fighter and mech. This cover the basics of Modo from a hobbyists perspective. These videos wont be as frequent as my project based tutorials because most of my users are fairly experienced with the UI and wont need these but for people just starting I hope it helps. I do more explaining of my step by step actions and the only prior knowledge assumed is you know how to open Modo and save a project. I have many projects in the pipe from cell phone modeling to character building, advanced and low poly, sub-d modeling, architecture tutorials and more so stay tuned.
