The Dutch band with their two Turkish-born singers* Erdinc Ecevit and Meve Dasdemir managed to transport the Anadolu Psych of the 70s into modernity and initiate a renaissance of this style with their celebrated debut album alone. They retain the concept of the first album, to transform Turkish traditions and celebrated classics from such icons as the innovative Baris Manco as well as less known representatives of the genre such as Asik Veysel or Neset Ertas into psychedelic-rocky, grooving, Turkish-sung and recently electronic, keyboard-driven oriental wipes that remain respectfully close to the originals.
