NIO unveils large SUV
The new Nio EL8 is a luxurious 6-seater SUV that is available to order now. The first deliveries are expected in September. The new Nio flagship SUV, with a wheelbase of 3.07 meters, boasts a peak charging capacity of up to 240 kW, allowing the SUV to be charged from 10% to 80% in just around 20 minutes. A large 100 kWh long-range battery provides a range of up to 510 kilometers. A 480 kW dual motor delivers its power to all four wheels, enabling the powerful SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds. This is also aided by the relatively low drag coefficient of just 0.25 for the 5.10-meter-long and 1.75-meter-high SUV. Prices start at €82,900. However, the battery pack costs an additional €12,000 (Standard Range) or €21,000 (Long Range). Alternatively, the batteries can be leased for €169 or €289 per month, respectively.
