On March 16, 2018 the Documentary First team interviewed Ceo Bauer at his home in Ithaca, MI.
In our first meeting with Ceo, we learned so many things we never knew about the liberation of France and the 95th Infantry Division. Ceo served as a scout with the 95th. He landed on Omaha Beach in Sept. of 1944 and 2 weeks later was shipped to the front lines. He was thrust right into the battle of Metz. Ceo was wounded there on November 8, 1944. In this clip, we’d asked him to tell us how he was wounded… he began the story, but it quickly became about the French people and the other guys who helped liberate the town. ❤️
