Who is Gina Prince-Bythewood?
For the past 30 years, Gina Prince-Bythewood has been one of the most important filmmakers emerging from Hollywood's New Wave, getting her start as a writer and producer in television on shows such as Courthouse, #felicity and A Different World. She made her directorial debut in her 20s with a film that is now considered a classic Love and Basketball. She recently directed #thewomanking (2022), starring Viola Davis, and #theoldguard (2020), starring Charlize Theron.
