In November 2019, price of onions in Bangladesh reached record high of tk250/per kilogram. It usually sells between tk35-tk45.
The government tried to take some measures by importing onions from various countries. But the situation could not be brought in control.
During all this absurdity, I was traveling from New York to Dhaka. I decided to bring some onions with me in my suitcase, to gift to my loved ones, and for personal consumption.
