Dynamic Compaction - Harrisburg PA
Have you noticed anything different along Route 83 in Harrisburg? eciConstruction has started dynamic compaction right off the eastbound highway!
Dynamic compaction is a technique that densifies soils and fill materials using a 7-ton steel drop weight, hoisted by a crane. Our weight is covered in a chain-link net to prevent rocks from kicking up. This process will take place over 9 weeks in a grid pattern, ultimately compacting the ground 20 feet below the starting level.
