Why do the Angels and Ars Goetia resemble birds in Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss?
Did you know this in Hazbin Hotel?
In my previous short i talked about the true angelic forms of sera and emily that we see a couple times throughout the series. Alot of viewers pointed out that they’re extremely birdlike, and there’s a reason for this.
In the background of hazbin there’s a mural on the wall that looks nearly identical to stella from helluva boss.
You’ll also notice that alot of the angels we see in heaven resemble birds.
This is why the ars goetia are bird like. In the original book of solomon that parts of the hazbin lore is taken from, some of the original ars goetia were fallen angels like lucifer. The ars goetia we see today in helluva boss like stolas and stella are descendents of these characters, which is why they retained their bird like attributes from heaven.
Seraphim are also placed 4 tiers down in the heaven hierarchy below the archangels. This is coincidentally the same spot that the ars goetia hold in the hell hierarchy, being just below the seven sins.
The links between heaven and hell are really interesting and i hope we get some more lore surrounding the backstory of these angels and demons.
