Are the Von Eldritch Family Hellborn or Sinners in Hazbin Hotel?
In my previous short i talked about the scrapped von eldritch comic from hazbin hotel. This had me wondering, what exactly are the von eldritch family?
The von eldritch’s are a family of hellborn demons, which we see a couple times throughout the show. Design wise and based off their name, they’re based on lovecraftian eldritch horrors, though they do resemble demons from the envy ring. They appear squid like, with various eyes and teeth scattered around their bodies.
In past livestreams they were described as royalty, or new money which means they earned their fortune. This perhaps means that they started out as regular demons and worked their way up. Which means they’d be on the same level as the ars goetia in hell’s hierarchy. This stands in stark contrast to the ars goetia, which are born into their class and inherit their roles.
Personally i’m really excited to meet them. Their introduction would explain alot about the classes of hell, and it would be interesting to see the dynamic between the von eldritch’s and the morningstars.
