Born in Nakano, Tokyo in 1961. He began rebelling in junior high school, joined a motorcycle gang, and then embarked on the path to becoming a yakuza. He achieved great success as a yakuza, but was framed in an FBI sting operation in Hawaii and spent over 10 years in prison, moving between prisons in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oregon, and elsewhere.
After his release, he launched a clothing brand and led the Chicano boom in Japan. Drawing on his experiences and learnings in a US prison, he founded the volunteer organization "Good Family," which is now incorporated as an NPO. He has also given numerous lectures as a counselor on youth development. He provides support for recovery, reintegration, consultation, family support, and educational activities.
