Hohenwarte Reservoir - A taste of paradise - Ziegenrück and Co.
I'd like to introduce you to a true gem of nature: the Hohenwarte Reservoir.
This varied circular hike leads from Hohenwarte via Portenschmiede, Ziegenrück, Drognitz, and the Lothramühle.
First, however, thank you for the incredibly positive response to my first introductory video. I really hadn't expected that, but it encourages me to continue. That's why I've decided to introduce you to a beautiful piece of nature today, because the Hohenwarte Reservoir is a true gem. Our hike on the Hohenwarte Reservoir Trail and the days spent relaxing there afterward felt like a taste of paradise – high mountains with stunning views, then dangling our feet in the reservoir of the Saale River, numerous wonderful, unique restaurants and inns, and friendly hosts – what more could you ask for?
With this short video, I'd like to share our impressions with you and invite you to discover and experience this beautiful area for yourselves. There are plenty of options to suit every taste.
