This video, from OS College, demonstrates how Balena Etcher writes an operating system's file (typically an ISO), that is stored on a computer's hard drive or external drive, to a USB stick or other external drive.
Etcher is a cross-platform application, so it works equally well on Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems. Its user interface is the same across all systems.
