Together for Ukraine
Andre Moreau talks with Roman Rubchenko. Roman is from Ukraine, but at 17, under rule of the Soviet Union, he defected while on a basketball tournament trip in the U.S.. He wound up at LSU playing basketball for Hall of Fame Coach Dale Brown. A few post grad degrees later and a successful businessman, he returned to Ukraine. He has been in the center of the Russian invasion since it began and has come to the U.S. to rally support for the now politicized U.S. aid to Ukraine.
