With climbing interest rates, one way homebuyers can save over the first two years of their home loan is to consider what's called a 2-1 buydown rate. What that means is you're essentially paying a fee to get a lower rate for two years. It's a good way to circumvent higher interest rates today but still giving the flexibility to get into home today to start building that wealth.
