■ Overview of ongoing restoration
Body
All paint will be removed and the whole body will be painted.
Front and rear bumpers and engine hood will be replaced with lightweight FRP types. The engine hood has a ducktail.
The door sashes, door handles, and most other moldings and trims are replaced with chrome-plated ones instead of chestnut-painted ones.
Engine and transmission
First, the vehicle is inspected with the normal engine and transmission installed.
The vehicle is driven in this condition for a while and a power check is also performed.
After that, the engine and transmission are removed.
The engine is fully overhauled and mechanically tuned.
The transmission is overhauled.
■What is the 911?

■What is a narrow?
Early 911 models (1965-1973)

Equipped with a 2.7-liter (210PS) engine compared to the base model's 2.4-liter (140-190PS) engine.
The front and rear bumpers are made of FRP to reduce weight.
The rear fenders are also wider to accommodate wider tires to match the engine power.
This rear fender was also used on the basic model from the 1974 model.
As a result, if you replace the front and rear bumpers of a 930 body with commercially available FRP ones, it will automatically become a 730 Carrera model.
■What is the 930?
In 1974, the 911 was fitted with a huge bumper to comply with American regulations. The exterior changed dramatically. This appearance continued until 1989, and was called the 930 body.
