memorable advice I have gotten from my supervisor
Let's say you are a student who has unshakeable drive and motivation as high as Everest. But undoubtedly your supervisor also has a significant role in your study completion. Some studies backed this. The relationship between graduate students and teachers can also predict graduate students' academic procrastination indirectly and negatively via the mediating effects of academic self-efficacy and learning adaptation. From that research, Supervisors have an essential role in mentoring and strengthening their students' academic skills, which contributes to students' academic self-efficacy. Graduate students who have strong self-efficacy are more equipped to deal with challenges that arise during their studies. Other studies by de Kleijn find that it is crucial for master's thesis supervisors to build positive, helpful connections with students and that if this proves difficult, more care should be given while providing criticism
And today I want to share some advice from my supervisor that helps me to be the student am I right now and to be a version of myself today
1. If you take the semester off, the likelihood to postpone your study is higher.
2. Learn, I am learning as well
3. We are not the ones to assess ourselves but other people. We are not the ones to justify ourselves but other people
