Zero Downtime Deploys with Temporal and wasmCloud | Replay 2023
This talk will give provide an overview of how Cosmonic takes a novel approach to integrating Temporal into our technology stack. We are built almost entirely around a Cloud Native Computing Foundation project called wasmCloud, which allows you to build distributed applications using server-side WebAssembly. We integrate with Temporal to automate our infrastructure provisioning process which includes: * Upgrading Nomad worker nodes on AWS EC2 * Rolling out upgrades to software we are running on behalf of customers * Migrating customer workloads to new hosts with zero downtime
Along the way we’ll also discuss working with Temporal in Rust along with what we have learned around building workflows around provisioning cloud infrastructure that cannot fail.
