What do you do when your protagonist is so strong they can defeat anyone with a single punch? Writing overpowered (OP) characters is a huge challenge. If you just keep increasing the villains' power levels, you'll end up ruining your story.

Using Saitama (One Punch Man) as an example and contrasting it with the classic "power inflation" of shonen anime, we explore why the real challenges for an OP hero aren't physical, but rather moral, social, and emotional.
