In this online course, you will see how to take a Spring Boot Application and deploy it in a Docker container under Kubernetes. Docker Desktop is used to create a local single node Kubernetes Cluster. You will learn how to create a deployment for a Spring Boot Application in a Docker Image. A Kubernetes Service is also created for the application. You will also learn how to configure Spring Boot Actuator to expose endpoints for Readiness and Liveness probes. The Kubernetes deployment descriptor is updated to use the Readiness and Liveness probes. Finally, you will see how to configure Spring Boot and Kubernetes to support a graceful shut down.
