Femap: Variable Thickness Midsurface Model
Using FEMAP 2020, this example shows model de-featuring and midsurfacing a model with varying thicknesses. The following command was used in Femap:
Modify - Update Elements - Midsurface Thickness and Offset (which attempts to update the element thickness and apply appropriate offsets to plate elements to better match the orig¬inal solid used to create the midsurface )
