Catholic Relief Services' ICT4D Programs: Using Technology to Empower Those We Serve
Catholic Relief Services uses information and communication technologies for development (ICT4D) in innovative ways that harness the power of technology to improve the lives of low-income people around the world. By using cell phones and other new technologies that are becoming increasingly more available and affordable in developing countries, CRS is able to help improve the health of expectant mothers in India; enable farmers to improve their cassava harvest in east Africa; and teach women to read in Niger.
