As organisations and brands are increasingly looked to for stances on political issues, digital marketing practices are subject to more scrutiny than ever before.
This webinar tackles the expectations, and accompanying limitations, that arts and culture marketing teams and individuals face when engaging with social justice issues online.
Host:
Dr Rianna Walcott, incoming Assistant Professor of Communication at the University of Maryland and Assistant Director of the Black Communication and Technology Lab
Rianna investigates the impacts of social and racial inequalities on digital spaces and has written about race, feminism, mental health, arts and culture for Wellcome Collection, The Guardian, BBC, Vice, and Dazed. She also co-founded projectmyopia.com, promoting inclusivity in academia and a decolonised curriculum. In the time left over, she moonlights as a jazz singer.
