When a schoolboy is found dead, newspaper reporter Paul Banner (Paul Carpenter) is quick off the mark, looking for an exclusive story.
After talking to the boy's parents, and a couple of his schoolmates, Banner manages to uncover a couple of possible links.
With the help of his fellow reporter/girlfriend Maxine (Diane Hart), they act on Banner's hunches, resulting in the discovery of a body, followed by a punch-up. Are these incidents connected in some way or other to the schoolboy's death, and if so, what's the connection?
Whilst this is all going on, an old flame of Banner's resurfaces, causing friction between Banner and Maxine. Plus, for some reason, she seems to show more than just a little curiosity in Banner's latest news story.
This starts off as a pretty gritty crime film, but heads into the direction of becoming a little bit far-fetched by the end. Even so, this is a pretty enjoyable way to kill an hour or so.
