In Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 20.7, you can print an Annotation drawing to a searchable .pdf document.
Chose “PDF_GENERIC” as printer. A new option “Searchable Text” becomes available. When you check “Searchable Text”, additional information is written to the .pdf document that enables searching the pdf for text and dimensions on the drawing.
When opening the .pdf with your PDF reader, use the built-in search function to search for text or dimensions on the drawing. The reader will then typically highlight the search results on the screen allowing to quickly identify the information of interest.
This will allow you to more easily inspect and understand your drawings exported to .pdf format.
