Description:
Use TV remote controller useless buttons to power or reset the NES console.
Tools:
Remote controller: Sony Bravia
Buttons modded: Red for Power, Yellow for Reset
MCU: Atmel ATtiny85 (Microchip)
Overheat solution: Heatsink took from scrapped parts, attached it to HDMI chip.
Working functions:
Red button is act like a toggle switch for POWER.
Yellow button is act like a normal-open push button, for RESET.
Overheat problem NES (Clone):
The overheat part is the HDMI IC, it is very obvious to know it by touching the IC casing with your finger tip, you can feel the heat builds up quickly when the NES is working.
