As of my last update in September 2021, YouTube Shorts was a feature available in certain regions. It allowed users to upload short vertical videos of up to 60 seconds in length. Keep in mind that the process might have evolved or changed since then. If YouTube Shorts is still available, here's how you can upload them:
Open the YouTube app on your mobile device or access YouTube through a web browser on your computer.
Sign in to your YouTube account. If you don't have one, you'll need to create an account first.
Tap on the "+" (plus) icon in the bottom center of the YouTube app. This will open the upload interface.
Choose the "Create a Short" option. If you don't see this option, YouTube Shorts might not be available in your region.
Record a new video: Use the "Record" button to capture a new short video directly from the app. You can pause and resume recording as needed. After recording, you can add text, music, and other effects.
Upload an existing video: If you have a short video saved on your device that you want to upload, select the video from your gallery using the "Upload" button.
Edit your video: Once you've recorded or uploaded a video, you can use the provided editing tools to add text, music, filters, and other effects to enhance your YouTube Short.
Add a title and description: Enter a catchy title and description for your Short video. This will help users find and understand your content.
Choose a thumbnail: YouTube will automatically generate a few thumbnail options for your Short. Select the one that best represents your video.
Select the visibility settings: Decide whether you want your Short to be public, unlisted, or private.
Choose the audience: You can set the video as "Made for Kids" or "Not Made for Kids," depending on your target audience.
