Wat Tha Phra, Bangkok Yai, Bangkok, is believed to have been established during the Ayutthaya period. The buildings have deteriorated, leaving this ancient viharn behind. The viharn was preserved with the construction of a new viharn over it, and a ceremony to raise the gable was held in 1984. Inside, an ancient Buddha image is enshrined, nicknamed "Luang Pho Kaset."
