Bangladesh Army Regimental Color Parade of Durdom Egaro - 9th Infantry Division, Savar Cantonment
Bangladesh Army had celebrated the Regimental Color Parade of the “ Durdom Egaro ” regiment. BD Army has various independent brigades and regiments in its operational structure. Ex-Chief of Army Staff CAS General Aziz Ahmed was present during the army ceremonial parade.
9th Infantry Division known as The Lightning Division is a formation of the Bangladesh Army, based in Savar Cantonment. 9 Infantry Division is the first infantry division of the Bangladesh Army that was raised post-Independence.
The division is considered the most strategic and important formation of the Bangladesh Army, as it is entrusted with the security of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
Under the Forces Goal 2030 modernization and force expansion program Bangladesh Armed Forces being expanded to meet the 21st-century security needs. Bangladesh got two jingoistic neighbours and needs to be prepared for any odds.
