The Leica TS16 and other surveying Total Station models have an on-board calibration procedure.
This enables you to calibrate the total station every 3, 6, 12 months or whenever required.
Ensure the total station is good adjustment for vertical and horizontal colimation and ATR is working well. You need to find an object greater than 100m from the total station and require a vertical object also.
