This webinar is suited to people involved in or advising businesses which need to understand the profitability in different ways. This could be by departments, cost centres, locations, jobs, projects, customer groups, product groups, sales reps and so on. Key to determining this is being able to capture the data required and then being able to correlate that data, cross-referencing it to produce useful management information. This can be particularly challenging for SME businesses as their software may not provide the features they need.
We briefly consider the business and operational requirements that are presented by a need to account for profit in different ways and then look at what businesses need from their software, and then give an example of how to analyse their data in Excel.
