In this intermediate-level Adobe After Effects tutorial, I review how to add expressions to shape layers so they dynamically change to fit a text layer.
We then take it a step further, by adding a controllable padding, to tweak the design to your taste.
For ultimate control, I then show how to connect those padding values to a global variable, to ensure the changes work across multiple comps.
This is a really flexible rig and perfect for those of you who need to knock out text callouts quickly, or have art directors that like to tweak until the very end of a project. ----
