Decking codes can be everywhere. Every municipality has an adopted version of the building code that they govern all construction by. Codes change every 4 years or so. And cities usually carry an adopted version in place for about 6 years.
Austin previously had enforced the 2018 International Residential Code. In January of 2023 they adopted the 2021 Revision.
