Ralitsa Toneva - Live Session | Sofia - Bulgaria
Live session of Ralitsa Toneva & Georgi Bozhanov recorded on Febraury 29th at the Gude Restaurant, located in Sofia, Bulgaria.
I've met Ralitsa's music thru a video from Sofar and a few days after that I went to a concert she was helding in a small bar close to my place. The place itself was an underground bar located in a basement and te show was already started when I get there. Among her songs there were some covers - a thing that I don't normally like - but I did notice that their versions were super nice. About her music style, what really got my attention was her power and the quantity of resources that she has to move across a song. I think that the session is a testimony of that.
The session itself was planified few weeks before it was recorded, in late Febraury. The place where we recorded, called "Gude", is a vey unique restaurant located a bit far from the city center but I felt in love of that place the moment Ralitsa & Georgi took me there for the first time. We did a bit of forecast investigation and then we settle everything up. So there we where, a Saturday just after lunch, ready to start. A few restaurant's employes showed up, start setting everything up and even chopped some woods to warm up this cristal box during the bulgarian winter.
The musical outcome of this meeting is two very sincere songs masterfully played by two young bulgarian musicians, part of Sofia's vibrant music scene.
