How to 2x your prices as a freelancer?
Simple (not easy):
1/ QUALITY. @hormozi talks about “ignorance debt”. It’s the price you pay for not knowing enough. As a freelancer, you need to educate yourself constantly to up your skill level. Skills are worth real money, and the better you are, the more you can charge.
2/ SPECIALIZATION. A huge creator talked on a podcast about “passion mashing”. He could rap and he was a comedian. So he made funny raps and killed it at that. Go do the same; double down on something that combines what you’re good at and passionate about.
3/ DIGITAL ASSETS. Last but not least, you gotta show your work. Your best work. Spend time selecting 6-9 videos/designs/websites whatever you’ve made and are proud of, and lay it out nicely on a simple webpage. Direct all traffic to here; social links, email signature, etc.
If you get 1% better each week, offer a deep and specific service, and show your work in the best way possible — well, you can double your current rates in 6 months' time.
