LSBU Bridging Schemes Webinar 2024
National Health Service England (NHSE) and the Integrated Clinical Academic (ICA) post-doctoral bridging scheme group present the Integrated Clinical Academic (ICA) Annual Bridging Scheme Webinar.
This webinar will provide an outline of the three bridging schemes for NHS staff working in the London region who want to apply for an ICA award. These bridging schemes, run by London South Bank University (LSBU) in collaboration with King’s College London are for healthcare professionals (nurses, midwives, Allied Health Care Professionals (AHPs) and pharmacists) in the London region, who want to become future clinical academics.
The speakers for this event, and their bios, are below:
Dr. Adéle Stewart-Lord is is Associate Dean Research and Enterprise in the School of Allied and Community Health at London South Bank University. She obtained her PhD in 2012 and her current research portfolio focuses on Workforce Evaluation and Development. As a Mixed-Methods researcher, she has a diverse portfolio of research interests.
Lesley Baillie RN PhD is Professor of Research at London South Bank University. She leads the NHSE ICA research internship.
Suzanne Bench, RN, PhD, is a Professor of Critical Care Nursing at the Institute of Health & Social Care, London South Bank University and Director of Nursing (Research) at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London. She is the joint co-lead of the ICA HEE post -doctoral bridging scheme.
Professor Louise Rose, RN, PhD, MBE is a Professor of Critical Care Nursing and Research Division Head at the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care at King’s College London, UK and an honorary Professor in Critical Care and the Lane Fox Respiratory Unit at St Thomas’ Hospital in London. She is the joint co-lead of the ICA HEE scheme and the lead of the pre-doctoral bridging scheme.
