Use of weapons by police

Today's episode will look at incidents involving the use of weapons and special equipment by police officers that occurred relatively recently.
The first incident occurred in Pasadena, California, on May 17 in the 1500 block of Glen Avenue.
At 12:35 p.m., the first call from an eyewitness was received by emergency services:

A police crew was dispatched to the scene.
At 6:27 a.m., the third call was received:
Police reported that they encountered a suspect who was wearing a bulletproof vest and holding a firearm. The officer-involved shooting occurred when the suspect pointed an AR-15 rifle at them. After the officers opened fire, the suspect ran to the back of the house. Police found the suspect unconscious on a bench near the house, he had one gunshot wound. The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Daniel Warren of Pasadena, was pronounced dead at the scene. A rifle with a large drum magazine and a handgun were found near the suspect. The police department's forensics team determined that the suspect fired at least one shot. No officers or civilians were injured during the shootout.
Second Incident: Los Angeles, California
On July 16, 2019, at approximately 6:43 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 300 block of North Avenue for a report of a man with a knife. When officers arrived at the address, they were met by a citizen who made a report to police. Officers found the suspect locked in a bedroom and refusing to come out. As officers attempted to escalate the situation, they opened the bedroom door and the suspect, armed with a machete, began walking toward the officers, causing them to open fire. At the same time, the officers deployed a non-lethal launcher.
The suspect then jumped out of his bedroom window and ran west down the street and into a 7-11. He was confronted by an officer outside his home, who did not shoot him. Backup officers arrived at the store. Officers surrounded the suspect inside the store and again attempted to talk him into surrendering, but he refused to comply with the officers' demands. Officers again used a non-lethal launcher, which helped officers apprehend the suspect. Vasquez had finger injuries on both hands, and it is not known at this time how he sustained the injuries. Los Angeles Fire Department medics arrived on the scene and transported the suspect to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect has been identified as Herbert Vasquez, 49, of Los Angeles, with no criminal history. A machete and knife were found at the scene and are being processed. No officers or others were injured during this incident. The third incident has nothing to do with the US police and took place in Brazil, but I thought it necessary to include it in this issue. The action takes place in Brazil, in the municipality of Rio Grande. On September 3, 2019, at about 9 pm, two masked men with guns go to a pharmacy and enter. During the robbery, there was a seller and two customers in the store, one of whom was a police officer and was dressed in civilian clothes. At the moment, there is no information whether he was there undercover or on his own business during off-duty hours, but the reaction of the police officer is simply amazing. One of the attackers died on the spot, and the second was taken to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The policeman has two wounds, one in the leg, the second in the groin area, the bullet damaged an artery, he was taken to the hospital, where he underwent two surgeries, and his life is not in danger.
