Listened to the wrong person
Cranston - On June 16, 24, Officer Cooper was on duty when she received a report of a shoplifting incident. The officer soon spotted a vehicle that may have been used in the theft and signaled the driver to stop. At one point, a woman in the passenger seat tells the man to move. The man shifts into gear and starts driving when the car passes her. As the driver drives away, the officer fires one shot. Police said the car ran over the officer's leg and she was treated at the hospital.
