Drawing an Ellipse
An ellipse is like a squished circle, where the radius from the center to the top and bottom is different than the radius from the center to the sides (a circle is technically an ellipse where the radius is the same in all directions). Drawing an ellipse can be tricky, but I find the "trammel" method is the most exact. In this video, I've quickly improvised this method with scrap materials laying around the shop to draw an ellipse on a piece of wood that I will then cut out.
