How to make a LOW BUDGET FILM | Rehearsals
Hi everyone, welcome to the making of The Nomad, a low-budget indie film that I wrote and directed. In this series, I'll share with you some behind the scenes footage and tips on how to make a movie with very little money.
In this episode, I'll talk about the table read, which was a crucial step for me as a writer and director. The table read is when the actors read the script out loud for the first time, and you get to hear how your dialogue sounds and how the actors interpret your characters.
This was especially nerve-wracking for me because The Nomad is the first feature film script that I've ever written in English from scratch. English is not my native language, I'm from Spain, so I was worried that my dialogue might sound unnatural or awkward. But I was pleasantly surprised by how well the actors delivered my lines and how they brought my characters to life.
