Born in Bombay in 1971, Kamal Sadanah is the son of producer and director Brij Sadanah and actress Sayeeda. He started his career as an assistant director, working with Ajay Goel and Sukhwant Dhadda. Kamal made his acting debut in the 1992 film Bekhudi, alongside Kajol. He went on to appear in Rang (1993) with Divya Bharti, as well as in Bali Umar Ko Salaam and Fauj. After taking a break from acting in the late 1990s, he returned in 2005 to star in and direct the low-budget film Karkash. In 2022, he reprised his role as an actor in Salaam Venky alongside Kajol.
