We have just achieved a world first (as far as we know any way)

We are the first folks to write and record a musical duet with an AI tool. One named Udio. We thought of this idea a few weeks ago, realised it hadn’t been done before and it excited us, so we gave it a shot. This video shows the results so let me know what you think.

We don’t think we should be using this technology to fully replace anything we enjoy doing. Or any skill we massively respect. But then again, if it can replace one part of the process that you don’t necessarily enjoy, that’s okay isn’t it? And if you can think of a new and exciting idea that wouldn’t even be possible without using AI, that’s also okay… right? It’s hard to not feel hypocritical with all this stuff.

This whole AI thing is a constantly evolving dumpster fire that we’re all trying desperately to either stay on top of or ignore completely. But we want you to know one little thing, anyone who tells you that they know where all this is going is lying to you. Anyone who doesn’t seem to display an ounce of cynicism about all of this, probably shouldn’t be trusted. And anyone else who can’t see a single positive thing about where all of this is going should probably also be ignored and popped in front of the wireless with a hot Bovril.

We guess our point here is, use this technology to enhance your creative freedom rather than stifle it. Of course, that process will look different for all of us and it will no doubt come with confusion, contradictions and crippling headaches. But maybe this is the benchmark we should be using:
