With all this excitement, you have to see it to believe it! Watch this epic recap of campus events on January 20th!
In the Shapiro Field House, Norwich hosted the FIRST LEGO® League State Championship, a “sports for the mind” robotics competition for 9- to 14-year-olds where teams demonstrated their teamwork skills, provided design briefings on their custom LEGO® robots, and shared their innovative solutions to real-world challenges connected to local and global communities. Live demos by Vermont high school robotics teams and Norwich University STEM were displayed throughout the event.
Over at the Goodyear Pool, the Norwich University Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams finished their regular season by sweeping Plymouth State University and celebrating the Class of 2024 as part of Senior Day. Before the meet, the Cadets honored one of the most prestigious groups of seniors in program history, eight men and five women, who were all recognized for their longstanding efforts and lasting legacies to the swimming & diving program.
In Andrews Hall, the Men's Basketball Team dominated the game against Dean College, winning 95-66 with five Cadets scoring in double-figures. Norwich's unstoppable offense made this win create a tilt in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).
At Kreitzberg Arena, the Women's Hockey Team hosted their Cadets Fight Cancer game vs UMass Boston, fundraising to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society. Arc of Swords led a thrilling entrance for the team to kick off the event, and the Mountain and Cold Weather Company rappelled in for a special all-female team puck drop.
