All you need to do is look for the color of the pen to either be gold or black. Black means it is not a genuine currency paper, and if it stays gold, that means it is a real currency paper. Keep in mind even if the paper tests good, it could still possibly be a counterfeit note, so make sure to double check with other built in security features, that are specific to the actual denomination that is in question.
