We found a lot of water in the bilge of our historic steel ship. So plans had to change.
Instead of continuing in the forecastle we searched for the leak aboard our 82ft project vessel.
Our first guess was the guest cabin so it had to go. The destruction continues a lot faster than expected.
Overall it was a week full of leak search, tearing things apart and talking to shipyards.
In the end we found the reason for all this water in the bilge. And even a solution.
However it took us the whole week to find it. Therefore there was not much time left for this video.
So we decided to make a shorter one this time and included only the first part of the leak search.
Otherwise there would be no video today and we didn’t want you to wait two weeks for news of our refit project.

Just to give you an overview what this channel is all about. We bought this massive steel trawler. Which once was a tall Ship.
On the long run we plan to converter her back into a topsail schooner. The timeframe for that will be 5 to 10 Years.
So we are in for a long journey.
But we already use this ship as our home. So you can expect videos about projects, about traveling and about living on a floating refit.
