Let's build a DnD battle map in 5 minutes using DungeonDraft!
Season two of the Pandemic has started and the Office isn’t on Netflix anymore, so you started Googling Dungeons and Dragons on YouTube. Lo and behold you found there are tons of people playing online so you’re going to get the band back together and pull your old table top group into the Virtual world of Online D&D. I’m going to give you a super quick overview of using Dungeon Draft and a VTT - Foundry VTT in this case - to build out a game.
I’m going to use an old school Module I like: The Temple of Elemental Evil. We are going to make a map from the module and import it to our VTT.
First things first, you will need a Virtual Table Top and some kind of map making ability. There are tons of options but I’m focusing on what we use for our Campaign - Foundry Virtual Table Top and Dungeon Draft.

Adventures in Umbranthal is a D&D live stream campaign on Twitch every WEDNESDAY at 7pm EST. The cast + dungeon master are unscripted and improv act their characters in a homebrew fantasy world. Umbranthal is complete with its own lore and the game is played using the ruleset of Dungeon and Dragons 5th edition. Mistakes are made! That's part of the fun.
If you'd like to see us live and chat with the community, check us out on our Twitch channel at / hp2xp WEDNESDAYS at 7pm EST for the campaign and SATURDAYS for a variety show with the DM + guests.
Join our D&D Discord if you like to show and would like to chat with other fans about the campaign, D&D, or other TTRPGs! We have a spoiler channel so don't beware. / discord
