Edge 520 Battery Replacement FAIL
I'm sharing my experience, when I tried to replace the battery in my two- or three-year-old Garmin Edge 520. It turns out this unit is a very difficult to open! I hope this information is either helpful - or entertaining - to other tech-repair DIYers out there. Here are the specs on the battery itself, in case you manage to open your computer without breaking the screen:
Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery, 1ICP7/32/41. Rating: 3.7V, 700mAh, 2.59Wh. Garmin 36100043-00. Made in Taiwan by the Joules Miles Company.
