Buying a House in BC and moving to Victoria is more challenging than it has been in the last 2 years, especially in a declining real estate market in Victoria BC Canada. You might be wondering why we would buy in this market with interest rates rising and home prices sliding?
As a residential realtor I have a lot of faith in the Victoria BC Real Estate market over the long term and our decision to buy a home in Esquimalt was calculated on a long time horizon. I believe Victoria British Columbia is the best place to live in Canada and offers some unique pros and cons (very few) that create a unique lifestyle proposition that can’t be found in other parts of the country. For us, living in Victoria BC was really the only decision on the table but as a lifelong resident I hope this video sheds some light on life in Victoria BC.
In this video I unpack some of those reasons and why we decided on buying a house in Victoria BC. I will also spend some time talking about how we imagine this house fitting into our goals of living in Victoria BC (with some neighbourhood highlights). At the end of the video I will do a little house tour to talk through some of the unique features that compelled us to pursue this property.
