One for My Baby
This iconic torch song of the singer/narrator telling his troubles to a bartender at 3am is closely associated with Sinatra. Bette Midler's sang it on Johnny Carson's farewell show and Tony Bennett's great jazz rendition is one of my favorites. The song was introduced by Fred Astaire in the 1943 film, "The Sky's the Limit," but it was the album, "Sinatra Sings For The Lonely" that most of us remember first hearing the heartbreaking song. I asked Jon Michael Ogletree to sit down on the piano and knock out our rendition and I have to say, I'm rather pleased. I hope you are, too.
