How to build a firepit for less than $150
In the title I did mention it cost less than $150, although you could easily find some bargains on the same or similar materials. Here's my List of materials:
47 Belgian wedge - Quarry Gray bricks (sku 179-3649 at Menards) @ $1.23 = 57.81
32 Red Square Stone (19184 at Lowes) @ $1.68 = $53.76
1 Mainstays 28" Fire Pit and Spark Guard (MS46-001-001-00 at Walmart) @ 35.01 = $35.01
2 bags of Sakrete Play Sand from Blain's Farm & Fleet @ 1.50 = $3
Grand total: 149.58
