Who is Theobald Headman, and What is Southern Ingenuity
So, who exactly is Theobald Headman? Well, I'm just an ol' southern boy who loves the outdoors and the challenge of designing and building things to put to practical use. I grew up watching TV shows like "The A-Team" and "Macgyver", and I was absolutely fascinated to see how they made things from what they had available to them. I was blessed to have a childhood with family members and neighbors that taught me about building construction, plumbing and electrical, automotive repair, welding, wood working, and a lot of other stuff. In high school, I took classes in machine tool and welding, and worked for a brief time in a machine shop before graduating. I don’t claim to be an expert on anything, but I can usually take care of just about any project or repair that needs to be done around the house.
Southern Ingenuity isn’t really meant to be a “How To” channel, but more so a channel that shows the viewer “How I did it”. I’m always coming up with an idea for some sort of homemade tool, homemade hunting gadget, shop project, or repair, and I often draw inspiration from watching YouTube videos. That's why I decided to start this channel. I want to document my projects for people to enjoy, and hopefully inspire a creative spark that will help others with their DIY projects. I try to make videos that inspire, inform, and entertain.
Southern Ingenuity isn’t really a channel dedicated to a specific topic or niche, and most of the time, I don’t even know what the next video is gonna be about. But whether I’m making a deer hunting blind out of conduit, making instrument carts for the high school marching band, using a drill press as an improvised lathe, or making a handheld seed planter for the lovely Mrs. Headman herself, I think you’ll enjoy this ol’ southern boy’s version of the DIY video.
